This is a great opportunity to build your commercial credit capability, work alongside experienced Agribusiness Bankers and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of customers across Tasmania’s agricultural sector.

See yourself in our team

Our Regional & Agribusiness Banking team supports farming families, producers and agribusinesses across the food and fibre supply chain.

You’ll join a collaborative team that values curiosity, development, and sharing knowledge. Working closely with Agribusiness Executives and internal specialists, you’ll help deliver strong credit outcomes and practical banking solutions that support our customers’ goals.

Do work that matters

As an Agribusiness Analyst, you’ll combine financial insight, commercial thinking and an understanding of risk to help our customers grow and manage their businesses with confidence.

You’ll be involved across the credit lifecycle, from understanding a customer’s business and analysing financial performance through to preparing credit submissions and supporting ongoing portfolio management.

More specifically, you will:

  • Undertake financial analysis, modelling, and industry research, including consideration of seasonal cash flow and agribusiness trends
  • Prepare clear, well-structured credit submissions for new and existing lending facilities
  • Support deal execution through the documentation, approval and funding process
  • Monitor customer and portfolio performance, including annual reviews and ongoing risk assessment
  • Identify key risks and work with Bankers and Risk partners to develop appropriate mitigants
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, Agribusiness Bankers, and internal specialists
  • Look for better ways to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes for our customers

What you’ll bring

We’re interested in hearing from people who are commercially curious, comfortable working with numbers and keen to build a meaningful career in Agribusiness Banking.

You may already have experience in commercial credit, banking, accounting, or financial services. Equally, you may bring strong foundational skills and a genuine desire to develop your capability in agribusiness lending.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • An interest in agriculture, regional businesses and the factors influencing their success
  • A tertiary qualification in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline, which would be highly regarded

You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues, specialist agribusiness resources and development opportunities designed to help you grow your technical and commercial capability.
