Job Description
- Collaborate with IT management and business unit staff to support iterative report development cycles.
- Modify and enhance existing reports in Power BI and Business Objects based on user requests.
- Contribute to the maintenance and monitoring of the reporting environment, including applying patches, managing upgrades, and ensuring application performance.
- Support ad hoc development efforts for internal management and auditing purposes.
- Assist in transitioning legacy reports from Business Objects to Power BI as part of client’s modernization initiative.
- Respond to assigned tasks via ServiceNow and coordinate solutions and updates with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with established data governance and security standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Agile development methodologies and a flexible, team-oriented approach to supporting evolving reporting and data visualization needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Agile software development practices.
- 5+ years of experience on projects that are similar to the requirements (reports development and maintenance)
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and understanding of semantic data modeling.
- Experience with Business Objects and report maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse and working with enterprise data lakes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal agencies or working in a legislative agency environment.
- Familiarity with Oracle backend systems (Oracle Federal Financials and Oracle CLM preferred).
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
