Job Description

INFICON's Service Tools engineering team is seeking an Agile Leader to support our growing portfolio of New Product Development (NPD) projects. Reporting to the Agile Manager, this role will own day-to-day agile facilitation and project execution for a subset of 5+ active NPD projects, working closely with cross-functional engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to keep development on track. This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving engineering organization and play a direct role in shaping how agile practices scale across a large, complex project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile meetings (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, planning, etc) for an assigned set of 5+ NPD projects

  • Manage project schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent engineering initiatives

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, product management, manufacturing, quality) on assigned projects

  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and resource conflicts before they impact delivery timelines

  • Maintain project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) with accurate, up-to-date status and documentation

  • Partner with the Agile Manager to standardize and continuously improve agile practices across the department

  • Coach engineering teams on agile principles and help build process maturity

  • Report project status and key metrics to engineering leadership

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager in an engineering or product development environment

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a technical/engineering context

  • Strong working knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models)

  • Proficiency with project/agile tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product, and business functions

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing ambiguity across a varied project portfolio

  • Willingness and ability to work primarily on-site in East Syracuse, NY

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hardware/instrumentation, industrial equipment, or physical product development (vs. pure software)

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) or equivalent

  • Experience introducing or scaling agile practices in an organization transitioning from traditional project management

What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months

  • Fully onboarded and independently running agile ceremonies for 3+ assigned NPD projects

  • Established strong working relationships with cross-functional project stakeholders

  • Contributing to at least one department-wide process improvement initiative
