We are an integral part of the community, providing much needed support for families, schools, and children.


We are looking for Before & After School Program Staff to work at Forest Hills School District during the 26-27 school year.

What are the duties and responsibilities?

Supervision and Safety:

  • Supervise students during arrival and departure times.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all program participants.

Activity Planning and Implementation:

  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, and homework assistance.
  • Implement a well-rounded curriculum to promote students' physical, social, and intellectual development.

Homework Assistance:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with homework assignments.
  • Foster a positive attitude toward learning during homework time.

Communication:

  • Maintain open communication with parents, school staff, and program participants.
  • Provide updates on students' activities and progress.

Behavior Management:

  • Implement behavior management strategies in accordance with program policies.
  • Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among students.

Equipment and Supplies:

  • Ensure that program equipment and supplies are organized and well-maintained.
  • Report any issues or needs to program supervisors.

What are the required qualifications?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college coursework in education or related field is a plus.
  • Experience working with children. Previous experience with children. Have you volunteered with children before? Are you a former or retired teacher? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children.
  • Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Completed background check.

Skills Required
