- Foster the positive growth and development of children from Nursery to 4th grade.
- Plan and lead engaging afternoon activities, including crafts, building, imaginative play, and outdoor time.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of a designated group of children at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other BZ Beyond staff and support older student volunteers assisting in classrooms.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, embodying Bernard Zell's mission and values.
- Maintain regular and open communication with the BZ Beyond Lead.
- Support full-day programming during school closures and day-off camps as needed.
- Assist with daily classroom set-up and clean-up to maintain a welcoming and organized environment.
- High School Diploma or Higher
- Teaching and supervisory experience with young children is required.
- Interest in child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Monday - Thursday, 3:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Friday 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Occasional help on days off from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., if available
- 10-month position beginning in late August
