The Aerodynamics Design Engineer will actively execute the aerodynamics design and development phase of new rotating equipment such as Centrifugal and Axial Compressors, Turboexpanders, Reciprocating Compressors, Innovative Rotating Equipment with a special focus on the design of the main technologies of the machines.
In a multidisciplinary and stimulating environment you will cover the aerodynamics design of compressors & radial expanders, adapt the products to evolving market of energy transition and succeed in their final definition.
The main development areas will be related to Gas Technology, Hydrogen Compression, Energy Storage, Waste Heat Recovery Systems, CCUS (Carbon Capture Use and Storage).
As a Compressors & Radial Expanders New Product Development Aerodynamics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Execute the aero design, validation and industrialization phase of new technologies, products & solutions.
Execute main thermodynamics calculations, aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics analyses of new technologies and products by combining aero design with other disciplines to achieve the solution requirements.
Develop ideas providing relevant effort in structuring conceptual roadmaps to target the goals.
Definition of new design tools and validation of new concepts and products.
Generate detailed technical reports and documentation of the design and testing phases.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have an open mindset ready to learn and apply new concepts.
Have a Master Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or Equivalent.
Main knowledge and passion of thermodynamics, aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics.
Basic knowledge of typical calculations and considerations involved into the design of a machine.
Demonstrate good CFD skills and be familiar in software development (VBA, python, etc).
Experience in turbomachinery or related technologies, especially in compressors, is a plus.
Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent in English.

For Italy:The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 38,605 To 59,000.
The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay
