Hexcel is currently seeking an Aero Excellence Deployment Leader for our Duxford, UK location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Lead deployment of the Aero Excellence framework at site level to achieve bronze certification.
- Conduct maturity assessments, identify gaps, and define improvement roadmaps.
- Drive execution and monitoring of Aero Excellence action plans.
- Track and report progress, KPIs, and maturity status.
- Ensure alignment and benchmarking with other sites to share best practice.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to embed operational excellence.
- Promote structured methodologies (Lean, 8D, FMEA, APQP) across the site.
- Support resolution of quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Improve customer performance and reduce internal non-conformities.
- Act as a change agent to drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence frameworks.
- Proficiency in structured problem-solving tools (8D, FMEA, APQP, root cause analysis).
- Experience in quality and/or continuous improvement within manufacturing or aerospace.
- Understanding of maturity models, audits, and certification processes.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills across shop floor and leadership levels.
- Results-driven with strong execution and accountability.
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards (e.g. EN/AS9100) and multi-site environments.
