Scope of Eligibility
Open to permanent employees in a competitive title that work for the Division of Waste and UST Compliance and Enforcement and meet the requirements below.
Description
Under the general supervision of a supervisory official in a state department, agency, or institution, provides front-line and behind the scenes customer and other support services involving the review, processing and issuance of agency documents; provides specialized information to customers regarding department/agency programs and services; handles the more complex and/or sensitive customer issues, requests and complaints; does other related work as required.
Specific to the Position
In addition to the above, and as time permits, this position also assists and supports the southern regional office with general functions including phone calls, processing incoming/outgoing mail, arranging and scheduling meetings, scanning and uploading documents to NJEMS, provides document editorial support to staff, processes OPRA requests and sets up file reviews, maintains hazardous waste and regulated medical waste filing systems and databases, maintains staff vehicle records, prepares PEOSHA records.
Preferred Skill Set
Working knowledge of New Jersey Environmental Management System (NJEMS) database, Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) registration system, and ancillary policies.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of experience providing information and support to customers or clients, responding to technical inquiries and/or complaints regarding products, services or programs, or collecting payments in a government or office setting.
License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
