Responsibilities
Breaking the mold of a traditional contact centre environment, the SmartFolio advisor is responsible to primarily support clients in the inbound call queue. A successful advisor will invoke trust and build strong client relationships, determine individual investment needs and provide professional advice to ensure client’s financial goals are met. Advisors will support clients with various requests such as portfolio reviews, onboarding, account access, contributions, withdrawals etc. Advisors will also be required to fulfills sales and service activities for the customer in accordance with approved procedures.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who exhibit a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of our clients. Successful candidates will have:
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience, OR A post‑secondary degree or diploma
Completed the core proficiency components for IR licensing, including: Canadian Securities Course (CSC) Conduct & Practices Handbook Course (CPH) or Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE)
Familiarity with common wealth management strategies and their relative strengths and weaknesses
Excellent communication, time management, and listening skills
Strong verbal and written languages skills in both French and in English preferred.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
