Position Description

St. Mark’s School of Texas seeks an Advancement Services Coordinator to principally process accurate and timely gift acknowledgements and receipts. As a member of the St. Mark’s Fund Team, this individual’s primary responsibility is to manage gift inflows and acknowledgement while providing consistent reporting and analysis that will help inform strategy and execution of broad solicitations and stewardship efforts. As a key liaison between the Business Office and the Development and Alumni Relations Team, the Coordinator will partner with Business Office colleagues regarding duties such as monthly balancing of accounts, the School’s annual audit, and the completion of the gift-related section(s) of the Form 990. This individual will also assist in staffing and support of St. Mark’s Fund and Development and Alumni Relations Events throughout the year. This position reports to the Director of the St. Mark’s Fund. This is a nonsupervisory role.


Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely gift acknowledgements and receipts
  • Provide consistent reporting and analysis that will help inform strategy
  • Serve as a key liaison between the School’s Business Office and Development and Alumni Relations
  • Support St. Mark’s Fund and Development and Alumni Relations Events
  • Help execute mailings
  • Timely and accurate gift data entry from multiple giving platforms
  • Timely and accurate correspondence with funding partners, including foundations, financial institutions, family offices, etc.
  • Leverage software and tools that improve the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of the gift acknowledgement process
  • Strengthen philanthropic engagement among all St. Mark’s constituencies
  • Assist with stewardship activities, including donor recognition, on campus signage, and faculty and staff recognition
  • Assist with volunteer management
  • Support activities, initiatives, and events sponsored by the Development Office as needed
  • Represent St. Mark’s in an official capacity as needed and requested
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications & Skills
  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expertise preferred in Raiser’s Edge or commensurate database software
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills required
  • A genuine care for people and desire to serve, through a high level of customer service

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • May work around standard office conditions subject to frequent interruptions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Occasional exposure to large crowds and outdoor activity. Ability to work outside of normal working hours. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Some travel may be required.
