The Performance & Operability (P&O) and Methods group within the Systems Engineering organization is seeking an Advanced Engineer who will support key Performance and Operability engine programs, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives, and Ensemble Digital Transformation efforts. As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions within the System Engineering department. You will work within cross-functional global teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way businesses operate.
You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager you will work out of our Phoenix, AZ on a Hybrid work schedule.
Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.
ResponsibilitiesThis position requires the individual to have knowledge of turbine engines, requirements-based engineering, test, validation, and MBSE (intro level). The individual will mentor and develop less-experienced engineers. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting Performance/Operability modeling and analysis, MBSE, and Ensemble efforts within P&O. You will have the opportunity to use your unique skills to accelerate innovation and engineering productivity, teaming with the world’s most talented engineers!
- Provide Performance & Operability modeling, test coverage, and data reduction to support gat turbine engine development, cert/qual, and production
- Provide MBSE support to P&O to drive INCOSE 2.0 and 3.0 deliverables
- Provide Ensemble Digital Transformation support to better connect data and models to support customers
- Perform test cell correlations
- Prepare detailed test plans, including instrumentation, data acquisition and test schedules
- ISC support, including test cell support, production margin tracking, diagnostics, PETS Online maintenance
- Requirements analysis & requirements decomposition
- Proposal support and customer interaction
- Support customers with fielded engine systems
- Mentor less-experienced engineers

QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 4 years of experience working in the turbine engine field
- Understanding of turbine engines and how they operate
- MBSE basic knowledge
- Familiarity with Cameo, and IBM DOORS
- Experience with Agile Methodologies and JIRA
- Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
- Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
- Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision and take the initiative to get things done
- Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
- Multi-tasking and can manage a variety of complicated tasks
- Mentor less-experienced engineers
- Proficient technical report writing and presentation skills.
