As an Sr Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated systems that drive innovation and efficiency across diverse aerospace applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet complex technical requirements and enhance system performance in the aerospace sector.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Redmond, WA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development and deployment of advanced aerospace systems that support Honeywell’s Aerospace commitment to technological excellence and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to the optimization and integration of hardware, software, and network components, ensuring robust and scalable aerospace solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform numeric evaluation of product design, integration, and qualification activities for new inertial navigation products for internal R&D and customer funded programs
- Evaluate sensor & system performance – ex: reading and understanding Root Alan Variance (RAV)
- Lead trade studies and issue resolution (e.g. FMEA, RCCA) activities
- Prepare, review, approve, and present technical documentation and deliverables to internal and external customers
- Function as a technical focal with internal customers supporting new product development and communicating technical status
- Execute in a cross-functional team setting (interfacing with mechanical, electrical, software, test, etc.)
- Support system design team meetings (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA, TIMs) with internal and external customers
- Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development
- Create system documents development, including but not limited to system-level requirements, Interface Control Document, Hardware Requirements Specification, Performance Verification Test Plan Procedure, Certification documents
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or similar technical field
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a related field

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$165,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
