ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Mechanical systems and equipment integration and oversight
- Coordinate with component and analysis teams to ensure successful system
- Support for system architecture trade studies
- Present trades for cost, weight, performance, technical, and schedule risk
- Requirements Based System Engineering (RBE)
- Develop a set of requirements that will result in product that satisfies a customer’s requirements.
- Requirements validation and verification (including understanding of the V‑model)
- Ensure requirements are correct for the intended application (Validation)
- Create and execute verification plans to ensure the design meets requirements (Verification)
- Technical Presentation
- Clearly convey technical content to Technical Leads, Customers, and Management
- Technical Writing (Technical Reports, Coordination Memos)
- Maintain traceable documentation to support program execution.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical-systems-related engineering experience.
- Direct experience and expertise in at least one part of the requirements-based engineering (e.g., requirement validation, derivation/decomposition, verification planning, qualification planning, system or component testing)
- Ability to execute requirement-based engineering tasks with minimal oversight
- Fundamental understanding of stress, fluid Dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat Transfer
- Organized approach for completing work on time and meeting quality of work expectations.
WE VALUE
- 5 years of systems or project engineering experience in the aerospace industry (especially aviation)
- Experience in any of the following (major differentiator): environmental control systems, vapor cycle systems, air cycle systems, thermal management systems, fuel tank inerting systems, system architecture, turbomachinery, heat exchangers (simplified wording), power electronics, or controls
- Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS or DOORS NG)
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO, SysML V1, SysML V2)
- Experience with digital thread practices, including linking analysis and test results to requirements.
- Experience in electromechanical engineering, particularly thermal management systems
- Test experience including developing test plans, writing test procedures, overseeing test execution, working with acceptance test procedures, and familiarity with DO- 160 or MIL-STD 810 environmental testing
- Self‑motivated individuals able to work with minimal supervision and who consistently take initiative.
The annual base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $155,000 .Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
