You will be joining one of our most strategic initiatives to build a cloud-based software-as-a-service unified security solution supporting access control, video, and monitoring capabilities. As Team Leader, you will guide a cross-functional engineering team working in a continuous delivery environment, ensuring the successful delivery of features that directly impact our customers daily.
You will be responsible for team coordination, resource planning, stakeholder communication, and fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation. This position requires balancing technical expertise in video and security domains with people management, project oversight, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities and the technical depth to guide decisions on streaming architectures.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a cross-functional delivery team of software engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence
- Coordinate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery schedules to ensure timely feature releases
- Lead the architectural design and definition of scalable video streaming subsystems, utilizing WebRTC and HLS to build robust real-time monitoring capabilities.
- Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product management, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps
- Remove impediments and optimize team processes to maintain high productivity and morale
- Oversee technical design decisions and architectural approaches for multi-tenant cloud solutions and video distribution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in software development
- Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and team performance metrics
MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of experience in software development with at least 2 years in a leadership or team management role
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript languages and functional programming
- Experience working with Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams through complete product development cycles
- Strong technical background in modern web applications, cloud services, and software architecture
- Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Modern JavaScript frameworks and tools such as Nodejs, React, and Webpack
WE VALUE
- Experience with video streaming technologies (p.e. HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) and WebRTC) is a nice to have.
- Familiarity with video transmission protocols and media streaming standards
