The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Job Responsibilities:
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Responsibilities
Lead, participate in, and approve Customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) supporting program timing• Ensure all APQP requirements are tracked and met using planned milestones• Review required government approvals and develop inspection standards where applicable• Lead plant trials for engineering changes, tool moves, and new program launches• Lead problem-solving for launch quality concerns (pre-SOP), including 8D, 7-Step, 5-Phase, Is/Is Not, and 6-Panel methods• Participate in warranty reviews where applicable• Manage new model launch (pre-SOP) field support to ensure effective containment and timely issue closure
Coordinate and participate in internal and supplier drawing reviews• Prepare and maintain control plans in accordance with MQS 7• Develop receiving inspection matrices and instructions• Develop Product Validation (PV) plans including reliability and confidence requirements• Implement safe launch plans for new programs• Participate in PFMEA reviews and sign-offs• Verify BOM accuracy during program launches• Facilitate supplier deviation requests through closure• Coordinate early supplier involvement with design and purchasing• Ensure adherence to Platform Execution Process (PEP) requirements• Prepare and present Launch Readiness Reviews (LRR)• Establish and approve supplier PPAP timing prior to PV testing• Support pre-production builds• Conduct PV test fixture verification and setup reviews• Ensure appropriate test parts are built and delivered to test labs• Review in-process testing and post-test results• Lead Test Incident Report (TIR) investigations and 8D responses• Conduct annual validation testing as required by customers

Qualifications and Skills:• Completion of community college diploma/certificate.• 3 to less than 5 years of work related experience.• Completion of a post-secondary education program in mechanical/quality engineering• ASQC certification as a quality engineer (CQE) preferred• Tier I automotive experience preferred
