KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Takes the lead on shaping, planning, and executing against the NRE budget and deliverables for any given development or RDE (research and development) project. and bid in tasks to mitigate risk like breadboarding components, or peer reviews with HONA chief engineer
- Works closely with program management to adhere to schedule and budget for the engineering effort(s) on given development and RDE projects.
- Aids in development of a set of project planning documents, including Integrated Master Schedules, Integration and Test Plans, Resource Plans, Risk and Opportunities Matrix, Capital Equipment Plans, and associated documents.
- Supports program manager in maintenance of project schedule, provides inputs to develop and report project Estimation at Complete (EAC), report adherence to cost and schedule baselines for project. Provides input for the preparation of baseline change requests, variance reports, and manage resource requests.
- In conjunction with the program manager, develops, builds and manages the integrated multi-function program team and represents both the interests of the customer and the business from a technical standpoint.
- Manage an RF subsystem development effort with responsibility for all relevant technical disciplines including RF design, mechanical design, manufacturing, integration and test, and subsystem engineering.
- Interface with Executive Staff and Program Management leadership on all aspects of Design execution.
- Provide technical direction for team, lead trade studies, lead development of design reviews, and anomaly resolution teams. Work with program management and other Project Engineers to meet all project deliveries and to ensure delivered systems meet all customer requirements.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Provide consistent and regular metrics to validate and support customer SDRLs
- Primary technical interface with the customer
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Supports bid process, ensuring inclusion in bid of tasks to mitigate risk like breadboarding components, or peer reviews with HONA chief engineer

QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- 5 years of previous Engineering experience
- Expertise RF/Microwave subsystem design and a working knowledge of related simulation/modeling and verification techniques
- Experience working in project-based environment, to include familiarity with basic project tools such as schedule and financial management applications
- Technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to solve complex professional tasks
- Negotiating skills, commercial proficiency and conflict resolution

The annual base salary range for this position is $122,000- $152,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
