Advanced Project Engineer (Security & LC/AV)

Role and Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level leadership and technical oversight for complex projects encompassing Security, Low Current (LC), and Audio Visual (AV) systems.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with client specifications, budget constraints, and schedule requirements across all integrated systems.
  • Conduct advanced budget analysis, value engineering, and cost-benefit assessments for integrated Security, LC, and AV solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
  • Lead the development and deployment of best-in-class engineering processes, procedures, and tools to ensure commissioning excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement for all project phases.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to Security, LC, and AV systems, developing robust contingency plans.
  • Drive system design and engineering efforts, ensuring seamless integration and interoperability between diverse security, LC, and AV technologies.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery with a focus on positive deviation and team performance.
  • Mentor and manage junior engineering teams, fostering technical growth and ensuring adherence to project standards and best practices.

Requirement and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in project engineering, with significant leadership roles in integrated Security, LC, and AV systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and approving complex shop drawings, technical specifications, and system architectures for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Extensive experience with a wide range of Honeywell Security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and associated field control systems.
  • Proven ability to interpret and ensure strict compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NFPA, local security regulations, AVIXA standards).
  • Advanced experience in configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting complex integrated systems, including server-side software and front-end applications.
  • Strong background in system design development, including network architecture, power distribution, and signal flow for converged Security, LC, and AV platforms.
  • Competency in advanced calculations, including battery sizing, voltage drop, audio coverage, video resolution, and network bandwidth requirements.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Provide senior-level technical supervision and guidance to customers on-site for integrated Security, LC, and AV systems.
  • Lead technical discussions and site coordination meetings, effectively resolving complex technical challenges and stakeholder concerns.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for customer technical and operational staff on the use and maintenance of integrated systems.
  • Oversee system handover processes and secure final customer acceptance for all project deliverables, ensuring complete satisfaction.
