Acts as a trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and retail clients, providing deep expertise in DN’s retail services portfolio, including deployment, maintenance, managed services, and lifecycle support.
Supports the full sales cycle—from discovery through contract closure—by identifying operational challenges in retail environments and translating them into scalable, service-led solutions. Designs and positions end-to-end retail service offerings that optimize store performance, improve uptime, and enhance the shopper experience, while meeting financial targets and client-specific requirements.
Leads the definition and documentation of detailed retail service requirements, including store rollout strategies, field service models, and support frameworks. Coordinates closely with internal delivery, operations, and service teams to scope and plan engagements, ensuring seamless execution and successful deployment across retail networks.
Continuously evaluates service performance, evolving retail market needs, and client satisfaction levels, feeding insights back into portfolio and product management teams to drive service innovation and continuous improvement.
Delivers compelling presentations and live or remote demonstrations, clearly articulating the value of DN’s retail services in enabling efficient store operations, reducing total cost of ownership, and supporting retailers in their digital transformation journey.
- Provides the full range of Pre-Sales Engineering services to an assigned base of large and complex customers.
- This is a "Service Solution Architect" role. Must have selling IT & Services experience.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitors.
- Acts as a trusted advisor and valuable resource to customers and the Sales team.
- Works with customers to conduct solution and implementation reviews, ensuring the prompt and effective resolution of technical or procedural challenges.
- Advises customers on product integration, service transition, and interoperability with Diebold Nixdorf and third-party solutions.
- Leverages consultative and persuasive sales methodologies to manage customer engagements and help drive opportunities to closure.
- Handles issues escalated from Pre-Sales Engineering colleagues, resolving independently or engaging senior expertise as appropriate.
- Provides system and solution support, either onsite or remotely, in support of customer engagements and industry events.
- Supports Sales by delivering solution design, implementation guidance, and technical support for both existing and new customers.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of Pre-Sales Engineering metrics, reporting, tools, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Pre Sales Engineering.
- Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
