The Role
Perform linear and nonlinear structural, thermal, and thermo-mechanical analyses using ANSYS Mechanical. Evaluate stress, deformation, fatigue life, thermal gradients, and design margins for aerospace applications. Develop ANSYS ACT extensions, IronPython automation scripts, engineering calculators, reporting tools, and desktop applications using .NET and Windows Forms. Automate simulation workflows, geometry processing, model setup, result extraction, reporting, and data management.

Core Skill set will include as below

structural analysis:

Linear static

Nonlinear structural

Fatigue (LCF/HCF)

Thermal Analysis

Perform linear and nonlinear structural analyses using ANSYS Mechanical.

Conduct thermal analyses including:

Steady-state thermal

Transient thermal

Thermo-mechanical coupled simulations

Evaluate stress, deformation, fatigue life, thermal gradients, and design margins.

Support design validation and optimization activities.

ANSYS Customization & Automation

Develop and maintain ANSYS ACT extensions to improve analysis workflows.

Create customized GUI components, wizards, and engineering applications within ANSYS.

Automate pre-processing, solving, and post-processing activities.

Integrate custom tools and workflows into ANSYS Workbench environments.

Develop engineering calculators, design validation tools, and reporting utilities.

Python / IronPython Development

Develop automation solutions using Python and IronPython.

Create ACT scripts using IronPython for ANSYS Mechanical customization.

Develop custom engineering applications using Windows Forms (WinForms) and .NET libraries.

Automate:

Geometry processing

Model setup

Result extraction

Report generation

Data management workflows

Interface engineering tools with Excel, databases, and external applications.

GUI & Application Development

Design and develop user-friendly desktop applications using:

IronPython

.NET Framework

Windows Forms (WinForms)

Develop customized dialog boxes, forms, engineering calculators, and workflow management tools.

Build robust user interfaces for simulation automation applications.

Skills Required

  • Structural analysis experience, including linear static, nonlinear structural, fatigue, and thermal analysis
  • Experience using ANSYS Mechanical
  • Experience with ANSYS ACT extensions and ANSYS Workbench customization
  • Python and IronPython development experience
  • Experience developing Windows Forms applications with .NET libraries
  • Experience automating geometry processing, model setup, solving, result extraction, reporting, and data management
