As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of advanced process development, documentation, and fixture design.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide product manufacturability feedback to R&D Engineers for assigned New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Design fixtures needed to support welding, machining, and assembly processes for manufacturing sites.
- Lead capital equipment projects and capacity resource planning associated with assigned projects.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers at all manufacturing sites.
- Investigating new technologies for manufacturing process needs.
- Oversee tooling and equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations.
- Lead cross functional teams in DFMA activities for assigned projects.
- Develop a facilities plan, including processing equipment, cell layout, material flow, and infrastructure needs.
- Creation of process documents including fabrication and assembly work instructions.
- Manufacturing technical resource for R&D Engineering team.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong leadership skills working in a collaborative environment.
- Proven project management skills and experience.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Experience performing DFMA events & assisting in NPD / NPI projects.
- Possess technical knowledge of metalworking processes including laser cutting, sheet metal bending, welding, and power coat finishing.
- Experience with 3D CAD software in fixture design environment, Creo preferred; 2D AutoCAD preferred.
- Proficient in GD&T and best drafting practices.
- Powered and manual work holding design experience.
- 15-20% travel required.
