Cosma Assembly Technology (CAT) is a division of Magna International, located in Brampton (ON, Canada), with offices in Troy (USA), Saltillo (Mexico), and Salzgitter (Germany). CAT helps its customers achieve world-class manufacturing by using the latest technologies to design and validate automotive assembly processes and concepts. CAT customers include some of the largest Magna production facilities around the globe.
In an increasingly global and competitive world of automotive manufacturing, engineers need to accurately model and predict manufacturing reality in advance of production start or implementation of changes in production / logistic systems.
Our business is engineering, but our greatest asset is the people who will drive the business forward. Our capabilities include 3D process design & simulation, 3D ergonomics analysis, off-line programming, discrete event simulation, and the continuous improvement of existing assembly applications.
We are looking for a Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to our new Engineering Office in Vecsés.

Task:

  • Develop and optimize the manufacturing system layouts.
  • Perform product manufacturability analysis.
  • Support of GD&T / Tolerance stack-up analysis, development of Clamping Plans and P-FMEA documentation.
  • Support of process change management and quote development.
  • Support of continuous improvement efforts in Corporate Best Practices, Bench marking activities and Lessons learned.
  • Support global launch activities as required.


Expectation:

  • Post-Secondary education e.g. university, college, technical school, special studies or equivalent, trade with shopfloor experience in Automotive manufacturing.
  • Minimum 2 years' work experience in related industry. (Automotive preferred)
  • Excellent English skills (fluent in spoken and written, presentation skills)
  • German language an asset
  • Proficiency in ACAD or similar and Experience with 3D CAD software an asset.
  • Experience with 3D Process Software an asset. (Visual Components, Process Designer, Process Simulate)
  • Advanced GD&T knowledge and interpretation skills.

Other:

  • Chassis and Body-In-White Welding and Assembly fixture design experience.
  • Aluminium BIW (Body-in-white) assembly an asset.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel globally and have valid travel documents.

  • Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position;
