Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or Computer Engineering. 
  • 2–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing engineering, product engineering, product development, or debug engineering.
  • Ability to interpret electronic schematics and demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills using a variety of measurement equipment. 
  • Solid understanding of geometric tolerancing, standard drafting practices, bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, tool drawings, work instructions, and other technical documentation related to hardware manufacturing (including hardware/software documentation and component datasheets). 
  • Effective communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation abilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply structured problem-solving methodologies and Six Sigma principles to address product failures, including yield issues and customer returns. 
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and initiate continuous improvement projects, innovative ideas, and strategies to improve product yield, customer satisfaction, cycle time, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting manufacturing- and test-related issues, including identification of root causes and implementation of effective corrective actions. 
  • Lead cross-functional teams in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities to resolve manufacturing and producibility issues, ensuring systematic problem-solving methods are applied to prevent recurrence. 
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques to identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing challenges, driving continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Drive product yield and quality improvement initiatives, with a focus on reducing factory rework, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and non-conforming material inventory. 
  • Support evaluation and qualification activities for obsolescence management and dual-sourcing projects, ensuring viable alternatives are identified and implemented effectively. 
  • Support the execution of key manufacturing process controls, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards. 
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across different geographic locations to support production and improvement objectives.
