You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on an On-site work schedule.

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II applies technical expertise with responsibility for product and process application to ensure product integrity manufacturing output while leading continuous improvements, working with both labs and factory operations.  
 

Our team develops new or modifies current processes, defines process equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of Ring Laser Gyroscope and MEMS based inertial sensors and IMUs. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II influences the planning and designing of manufacturing engineering processes by determining parts and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, for both existing and new processes/product technologies.  This role strives to maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II supports daily production activities and drives producibility improvement projects in a challenging environment.  
 

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide test and manufacturing support for the TGP Machining Cell based inertial measurement units (IMUs).
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends.  
  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.  
  • Assist development of new products.  
  • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.  
  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
  • Test products & software.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 2+ years experience; manufacturing, test, fabrication, or assembly processes

Must be a U.S Citizen due to contractual requirements

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,000 - $101,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
