Advanced Hardware Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. in Duluth, GA
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, testing, and validating Battery Backup Units (BBUs), RF Products and Solutions such as BDAs, Digital Fiber Optic DAS and Antenna Monitoring Systems for coverage extension and Fire Panel Interface.
- Products for Public Safety Mission-critical indoor radio communication market (ERCES), ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, including UL, NFPA, IFC, and FCC.
- Utilize expertise in first responders' radio communication systems and technologies to develop reliable solutions that enhance emergency communication in critical environments.
- Execute project subtasks, supporting product UL, FCC, and Seismic certification, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with internal teams, leadership, external customers, and suppliers.
- Apply advanced engineering principles to improve system performance, ensure regulatory compliance, manufacturing processes and drive technical innovation.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience developing UL2524 NFPA compliant Battery Backup Units, developing Bidirectional Amplifiers for Public Safety applications, developing Fiber Optic DAS for public Safety, Verification and Validation.
- Must possess 3 years of experience in the following: Developing Antenna Monitoring Systems; training manufacturing personnel; training pre-sales personnel; training tech-support personnel; preparing samples for UL and FCC.
- Up to 20% domestic and 10% international travel required.
