Responsibilities
- Engineers will work on 4G/5G RAN as part of a full RAN system & OCP Platform specific scenarios, defining verification requirements and test plans, implementing test benches and tests and executing test plans, debugging issues on complete JMA solutions.
- Test coverage for IPsec Scenarios & platform Security based fixes.
- Generate comprehensive test reports for internal and external consumption.
- collaborates with software/hardware R&D developers and project managers.
- responsible for identifying tools support requirement for the different releases and follow-up.
- Reproduce the issues reported in the field and work with R&D to get it resolved.
- Customer deployment centric discussion with Development team & other test tools vendor for having a proper test coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Communication Engineering or equivalent. Masters preferred
- Proficient in LTE and/or 5G specifications and 2–5-year experience in cellular testing preferably baseband, platform/OCP & IPSEC scenarios
- Working experience with stack layers like NAS, RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC, PHY, should be able to debug issues independently with good understanding of 3GPP and O-RAN Alliance standard
- Working experience across various platforms & IPsec policies
- Debug issues at platform level—working across kernel, hardware and interface logic
- Proficient with cloud environment, Linux systems, kernel logs, device trees, and low-level debugging & familiar with python scripting/Robot framework exposure is a plus
- Exposure to Perform functional, performance, regression, and stress testing of radio drivers across different hardware platforms
- Familiar with Jira and Confluence, working of EMS/NMS & KPI
- Experience with 4G/5G systems & 4G/5G UE simulators (Viavi or Simnovous)
- Familiar with Kubernetes & cloud-based RAN system
