Job Description

Our R&D Snke Edge team builds the hardware foundation for our next‑generation Digital O.R. and Image‑Guided Surgery solutions — enabling seamless access to the Snke OS ecosystem and powering the surgical workflows of tomorrow. We are a multidisciplinary team of engineers driven by curiosity, technical excellence, and a shared mission to shape the future of surgery.

We are looking for a hands‑on, versatile (Advanced) Design Engineer who wants to contribute directly to the development of high‑performance medical devices.

Your responsibilities

  • Design components for our medical devices (electronics, cables, housings)
  • Evaluate and select electronic components for prototypes
  • Create requirements and specifications for device components
  • Debug and analyze electronic circuits and embedded devices
  • Collaborate with partners and suppliers throughout development
  • Support certification activities (EMC, feasibility studies, test automation)
  • Ensure compliance with industrial and medical standards
  • Maintain device documentation in our lifecycle systems
  • Contribute to risk management and mitigation strategies
  • Plan and execute design verification
  • Transfer knowledge to production teams

You will work closely with cross‑functional project teams across the entire development lifecycle — from concept to market‑ready product.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Embedded Engineering or a comparable field
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience in electronics, circuits, embedded devices, Linux and scripting
  • Background in integration, testing and verification of complex electrical/electronic systems
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and related tools
  • Experience creating and executing test plans and reports
  • Creative and solution‑driven mindset for problem solving and test setups
  • Structured, reliable and independent working style
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
