We are AAD (Advance Analytics & Data) and aspire to be the best analytics and decisioning team in the world at engaging customers by solving complex customer, product, and channel problems through multi-channel strategies to deliver value for the Business Bank.
We leverage data and innovative technology to deeply understand our customers, deriving world-class insights to support commercial strategy and decision-making.
We work with business, technology, digital channel, and marketing stakeholders to deliver analytics, customer journeys, and customer contact decisioning that transform how the Business Bank engages with customers.

As a Manager in Advanced Analytics, you drive strategic decision-making by leveraging advanced statistical, predictive, and machine learning techniques to deliver actionable insights. You lead high-performing teams, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure robust risk management practices to achieve better business outcomes. Your role involves influencing leadership decisions through data-driven storytelling, optimizing processes with advanced analytics, and championing AI literacy across the organization. By combining technical expertise with critical thinking and constructive challenge, you enable transformative solutions that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor and develop a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment.
Set clear goals and expectations, providing guidance and support to team members.
Develop and implement the advanced analytics strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Oversee the planning, execution, delivery of complex analytical projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
Supervise the development of sophisticated models, machine learning algorithms, and other advanced analytical techniques.
Ensure the robustness, accuracy, business relevance of analytical solutions.
Partner with senior leadership and other stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through analytics.
Communicate complex analytical insights and recommendations in a clear, actionable manner to non-technical audiences.
Maintain data governance practices to ensure data integrity, quality and security. Implement best practices for data management and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Stay updated with latest trends and advancements in data analytics, machine learning and big data technologies.
Drive innovation in analytical methodologies and tools, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and deliver greater value.
Essential Skills:
9+ years of experience in Data Analytics.
Advanced level of programming language (Python, SQL)
Sound capability in leadership principles, risk management for better outcomes, and AI and data literacy.
Understand predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and other advanced analytics techniques. Ensure the robustness, accuracy, and relevance of analytical solutions.
An analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems in creative ways.
Programming languages, data wrangling, statistical analysis and measurement, predictive modeling, and prompt engineering must be at an advanced level. Machine learning and data visualization should be sound, ensuring strong conceptual understanding even if not fully advanced.
Behavioral skills should include advanced proficiency in constructive challenge and decision making with critical thinking, while active learning remains at a sound level.
Maintain data governance standards and practices. Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data used in analysis.
Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
Ability to collaborate effectively within the analytics community and stakeholders
Education Qualification:
B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent or post-graduate degree in Computer Applications or IT or Business Administration.
