The CommSec Data and Insights Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a central Data and Analytics function that supports the delivery of Data and Advanced Analytics offerings and services. The CoE’s mission is to provide trusted data, capabilities and actionable insights in partnership with our stakeholders to drive customer experience, empower decision making and safeguard our data.

We are the Insights and Decision Science Chapter within the CoE and are responsible for CommSec’s Insights and Advanced Analytics functions. We support the strategic decision-making process of the business by way of advanced and insights analytics, campaign execution and remediation analytics. We are also responsible for providing integrated online and offline behavioural insights, building analytics frameworks that help assess and drive customer engagement and building advanced analytics solutions and tools to help CommSec optimise its resources, improve its processes and minimise risk.
In this role
As an Advanced Analytics Manager within the Customer Remediation and Product Fulfilment Squad in the Product & Investing Solutions Crew, you will deliver both Advanced Analytics and be responsible for data analysis to deliver financial remediations and campaign execution for the Crew. You will use your advanced SQL, Python and commercial skillset to design, build and deliver advanced analytics solutions that drive forward various initiatives including customer and product insights to drive strategic initiatives, competitor and market tracking, predictive modelling and Agentic AI.
You will also implement effective risk management solutions, strengthen the control environment and streamline operations through automation, while supporting the broader Product Advanced and Insights Analytics backlog as and when required.
Other responsibilities will include
Perform advanced analysis of CommSec data and Group systems to provide the business with critical information to support financial and data remediations, execute detailed compensation methodologies, help manage risk and respond to regulatory requests within specific timeframes
Drive reporting and control automation, simplifying and automating campaign delivery execution, recurring reporting, controls and operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and strengthen the control environment
Complete required project workstream outputs with quality assurance/approval for your area of responsibility or other additional requests for analytics
Collaborate with key business partners such as Risk and broader Product team to understand and help shape the advanced analytics backlog
Upskill the broader CoE in Advanced Analytics and help engineer the foundations for AI, ML and Agentics in CommSec
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
At least 5 years of Management t Analytics experience in Financial Services, Remediations or Product Management
Demonstrated expertise in delivering advanced analytics solutions within high complexity environments, including applying sophisticated statistical, predictive, and machine-learning techniques to support business decision-making
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python and modern data technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, AWS, GitHub, Generative AI with a proven ability to manipulate, analyse, and model large-scale complex datasets using efficient and scalable practices.
Sound experience across data management and information strategy, including data governance, data quality and data lineage
Sound level of proficiency in key capabilities – IT SDLC processes, Agile delivery and JIRA/Confluence written documentation/specification
