Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


Performance Engineering Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership in performance testing, workload modeling, performance tuning, and non-functional requirement validation.
  • Lead hands-on performance engagements including scenario creation, script development, execution, and analysis.
  • Apply strong expertise in TrueClient protocol, ensuring accurate browser-based performance validation.
  • Utilize experience with Oracle NCA, Citrix, RDP, and SAP Web protocols for complex enterprise systems.
  • Drive performance baselining, workload modeling, and shift-left performance practices across teams.
  • Contribute to performance engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices.

Performance Strategy, Execution & Governance

  • Execute a full range of non-functional tests including benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
  • Monitor application logs, server telemetry, and system behaviors to identify bottlenecks and anomalies.
  • Handle technical issues across environments; coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, and cross-functional teams for timely resolution.
  • Publish performance test results, reports, and dashboards; obtain approvals and sign-offs from stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed defect documentation and manage issues through the full lifecycle using established bug workflows.
  • Communicate test progress, risks, issues, and results to project managers and technical leadership throughout the Agile lifecycle.
  • Ensure performance testing aligns with business requirements, system goals, and end-user expectations.

Performance Tooling, Automation & Technical Excellence

  • Demonstrate strong hands-on expertise with
    NeoLoad, LoadRunner Professional/Enterprise/Cloud, and TrueClient protocol.
  • Experience with specialized protocols including Oracle NCA, Citrix, RDP, and SAP Web.
  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
  • Analyze CPU utilization, memory usage, network utilization, GC behavior, DB parameters, and system reports to validate application performance.
  • Develop and optimize performance scripts, automated performance tests, and CI/CD-integrated performance gates.
  • Knowledge of JMeter and NeoLoad is an added advantage.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Technical Influence

  • Partner with developers, architects, DevOps/SRE, and product teams to incorporate performance considerations early in the lifecycle.
  • Facilitate performance reviews, bottleneck analysis, and resolution planning across functional teams.
  • Understand data flows, UI workflows, and backend processing to ensure end-to-end performance validation.
  • Work effectively in UK shifts and support North America shifts as needed.

Additional Functional Testing & Quality Skills

  • Strong knowledge of functional automation using open-source tools such as:
    • Selenium with Java
    • Rest Assured
    • Postman
    • Continuous deployment toolchains
  • Participate in framework maintenance and contribute to test automation practices where needed.
  • Track daily metrics, test coverage, execution status, and defect trends to maintain transparency and predictability.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and readiness for process or tooling changes.

Required Qualifications:

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with
    NeoLoad, LoadRunner Professional/Enterprise/Cloud, and TrueClient protocol.
  • Experience with enterprise protocols: Oracle NCA, Citrix, RDP, and SAP Web.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Performance engineering principles
    • Workload and scenario design
    • Browser-level and protocol-level performance testing
    • Distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools: New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics.
  • Ability to analyze system resource utilization, GC logs, DB metrics, and network behaviors.
  • Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and defect tracking systems.
  • Good to have: knowledge of LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) 2021.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing enterprise performance engineering frameworks.
  • Knowledge in JMeter or additional open-source performance tools.
  • Experience in cloud modernization or large-scale distributed Agile environments.
  • Experience executing or contributing to non-functional testing transformations.
