About the Team:
The Strategy, Innovation & Planning (SIP) team serves as Invesco’s central AI hub, focused on advancing innovation and delivering impactful AI solutions across the firm. Our team develops and maintains IVYGPT, the firmwide Generative AI platform, while also introducing agentic frameworks and building business-sponsored GenAI use cases that drive operational efficiency. Beyond product development, SIP actively fosters AI adoption across Invesco through initiatives such as AI/ML Meetups, hackathons, and cross-team collaborations.
About the Role:
As an Advanced Full Stack Engineer on the SIP team, you will help design, build, and scale next-generation AI applications that solve complex business problems. You will work in a highly collaborative, agile environment with a startup mindset—focused on rapid experimentation, continuous learning, and hands-on engineering. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the future of AI at Invesco by developing scalable systems, enabling new capabilities, and delivering solutions that create meaningful impact across the organization.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers and investors to build innovative AI based tools using structured and alternate data sources.
· Build Invesco’s Generative AI platform in collaboration with data scientists and data engineers
· Coding and delivery of cloud-native microservices/micro-UI architecture patterns.
· Work on new and innovative solutions platform along with other experienced developers.
· Build responsive, and visually impactful web applications
· Skilled in full stack development and proficient in agile, value driven fast delivery of quality code
· Experiment with new technologies and acquire new skills to find creative solutions to the unique challenges we will encounter along the way
· Work at speed to show value per sprint
Requirements of the Role:
· Skilled full stack developer with 3-5 years’ experience
· Intermediate to advanced experience with primarily Python, TypeScript, React and NodeJS. .Net (ASPCORE)
· Intermediate experience with SQL
· Hands on modern engineering experience (containerized environment such as Docker, GIT, AWS/Cloud, CI/CD automation, TDD)
· Exposure to Generative AI, large language models is a big plus
· Exposure to Azure APIM, Azure AI services, LangChain is a big plus
