The Role

Work Model: Remote | East Coast Hours

Employment: Corp to Corp - Contract only

Length: 12+ Months

Rate: $60-70 per hour USD

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Data and Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP) Engineer to design, implement, and maintain data workflows and customer data solutions within AEP. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data engineering, identity resolution, real-time customer profile management, and AEP administration. This role involves ensuring seamless integration of data sources, maintaining data quality, managing user access, and enabling actionable insights for personalized customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. AEP Data Integration and Management

  • Design and configure data schemas in AEP using the Experience Data Model (XDM).
  • Create schemas to represent data structures and enable them for profiles to ensure real-world data mapping.
  • Ingest and transform data from various internal and external sources into AEP.
  • Create and manage datasets, mapping them to schemas and enabling them for profiles to ensure proper alignment with business needs.
  • Apply data quality rules, validate data integrity, and manage data flows.

2. Real-Time CDP (RTCDP) Configuration

  • Build and maintain Real-Time Customer Profiles by stitching data across multiple channels and touchpoints.
  • Configure and manage identity namespaces to create linked identity graphs for personalized, cross-channel experiences.
  • Enable audience segmentation and activation for real-time use cases.

3. AEP Administration

  • Manage user roles and permissions to ensure proper access control.
  • Configure and manage sandboxes for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Oversee system health, perform regular maintenance, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

4. Data Activation and Personalization

  • Integrate RTCDP with downstream systems for activation across marketing, analytics, and personalization platforms.
  • Enable real-time decisioning and omni-channel personalization strategies using RTCDP capabilities.
  • Configure and manage source connectors for data ingestion from external systems such as cloud storage, databases, and Adobe applications.

5. Test Profile Creation

  • Create and maintain test profiles to validate journeys and messages before deployment.

6. API and SDK Utilization

  • Leverage AEP’s APIs and SDKs to integrate data from application connectors, such as CRM systems, web, and mobile platforms.
  • Implement streaming data ingestion for real-time updates.

7. Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to data governance policies, privacy regulations, and security standards.
  • Implement auditing and monitoring processes to maintain data quality and compliance.

8. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to data ingestion, identity resolution, and system performance.
  • Monitor system health and implement optimizations to enhance performance.

9. Responsibilities Alignment

  • Identity Management: Create and manage identity namespaces to build linked identity graphs for personalized, cross-channel experiences.
  • Schema Design and Enablement: Build schemas to represent data structures and enable them for profiles to ensure real-world data mapping.
  • Dataset Management: Create and manage datasets, map them to schemas, and enable them for profiles, ensuring data quality and alignment with business needs.
  • Source Connectors: Configure and manage source connectors for data ingestion from external systems such as cloud storage, databases, and Adobe applications.
  • Test Profiles: Create and maintain test profiles to support journey testing and message previews.

QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and RTCDP.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ingestion, and transformation within AEP.
  • Experience with identity resolution and audience segmentation in RTCDP.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL for data manipulation and integration.
  • Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, and streaming data ingestion tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other CDPs or data platforms such as Snowflake, Salesforce CDP, or Segment.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud products like Adobe Analytics and Adobe Journey Optimizer.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
