Job Description- Monitor and Execute Trade activity across Custom Fixed Income & Custom Equity SMAs, including corporate bonds, municipals, treasuries, Equities, and structured products.
- Collaborate with Traders, Portfolio Managers, Brokers and Custodians to resolve trade discrepancies.
- Proactively contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and report the cash and position discrepancies in a timely manner to the trading desk.
- Working on Past Settle trade breaks for clearing breaks.
- Research/Resolve of various corporate actions discrepancies like stock split, Refunding, spin-off, bonus etc.
- Review Partial & Full Call for Cusips and alert trading team by working with Custodians.
- Reviewing and identifying items in the SMA Trade Operations Global mailbox constantly.
- Create Procedures & Ensure they are up to date on a monthly basis.
- Proactively identify potential operational risks, suggest mitigation strategy to manager and lead the implementation of the agreed upon mitigation strategy
- Review and Ensure all the e-mails in the Global mailbox are routed properly and all the items are handled correctly and accurately.
- Responsible for helping/Guiding the team members to prioritize the work and to do the Job on their own.
- Ensure timely completion of critical end-of-day reports (e.g., trade allocations, files saving, email handling).
- Foster a communicative and collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate visibility and leadership in process management and team building.
- Must be willing to work full-time night shifts to support global operations - USA.
- Flexibility to provide support during overtime and off-hours as business needs arise.
- Participation in Business Continuity and Recovery testing, as required and scheduled by the Manager.
- Communicate with Traders, Client Service teams, Brokers, and Custodians to investigate and resolve trade-related queries through Calling them proactively.
- 2 to 4 Years Investment Operations Industry Experience
- Excellent Knowledge of Global Investment Products is required.
- Strong understanding of SMA processes and the full trade lifecycle.
- Proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Open-minded, flexible, and willing to listen to other people’s opinions.
- Good Understanding of Quality and process improvement concepts
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, and other MS Office tools.
