As the Administrative Assistant, you will provide data entry, payroll, indirect purchasing and administrative support to the Plant Manager. Provide production ticket receiving in SAP. Approval of weekly payroll and purchasing of operating supplies for the plant. Support departments, answer phones, direct calls, greet visitors, schedule meetings, and provide customer service to office staff.
You will be located onsite in Kansas City and will report to the Plant Manager.
*This role will be supporting the Oklahoma plant as well, primarily from the Kansas City plant, but there could be some minimal travel involved to Oklahoma on an as needed basis.
Responsibilities:
Enter daily production receipts into SAP.
Purchase and receive operating supplies.
Manage/screen incoming calls; direct calls, page staff, take and deliver phone messages.
Greet visitors including customers, employees, vendors, clients, and applicants.
Operate office equipment: printers, scanners, laminators, and fax machines.
Organize and schedule office activities, including meetings, and conferences, and department/plant activity assistance as needed.
Maintain office and operating supplies regularly.
Create purchase requisitions for office, cleaning, and safety supply orders.
Pick up, drop off, sorts, and deliver mail daily to/from Post Office and runs other errands.
Purchase, print and stock product labels for the operation team.
Reconcile and submit monthly expense reports and organize travel arrangements as assigned for plant manager.
Support staff for other departments as needed for projects, tracking, etc.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2 to 5 years of related experience in a clerical/receptionist/customer service role.
SAP experience preferred.
