Description

The Administrative Assistant for Friends of Leaps & Bounds will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and sustainability of Friends of Leaps & Bounds. This position is responsible for assisting with community outreach, events, managing volunteers, and general office/administrative tasks that support programs and the mission.

This is a part-time, on-site, hourly position.

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 an hourly, dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, onboard, and provide administrative support and coordinate training with the ranch volunteer coordinator.
  • Assist with volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and hours.
  • Coordinate volunteer recognition initiatives to maintain high levels of engagement, in collaboration with the ranch volunteer coordinator and marketing.
  • Promote engagement for future employment.
  • Actively seek and identify opportunities for the nonprofit to attend or speak at community events.
  • Represent the organization at offsite events, promoting our programs and building relationships with community member, in collaboration with marketing.
  • Coordinate the Beyond Therapy Program’s registration, scheduling, payment, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to senior staff as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other relevant documents.
  • Manage and update the organization’s database with accurate and current information.
  • Donor Management data management
  • Donor Thank you & Receipt production

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred.

· Demonstrate sound decision-making skills.

· Ability and willingness to work in a standing position for long periods of time, indoors, and outdoors, during inclement weather.

· Ability and willingness to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.

· Ability and willingness to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 40-50 pounds on a consistent basis.

· Ability and willingness to bend, squat, stoop, and climb stairs on a consistent basis.

· Ability to treat all employees and clients in a respectful manner.

· Maintain a positive outlook on life with a passion for the company mission.

Work Environment:

· This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours to attend events and meetings.

· Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed, in accordance with Company needs.

· Must be able to travel locally for community events and offsite meetings.
