JOB SUMMARY:
The Warranty Admin is responsible for maintaining and supporting the warranty system in a timely, well documented and organized manner including but not limited to part return trackers; internal and external reporting; and warranty claim and cost recoveries. They will be a "power user" on the Customer Portals for warranty. They must comply with quality system and documentation requirements. They will escalate issues as needed. All while working as part of cross functional teams often including customers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
With a focus on continuous improvement and a reduction in warranty costs while meeting
timing requirements:
- Develop and maintain a warranty part return log including the receipt and "status" through closure of analysis
- Maintain and/or assist with internal and customer reports for warranty (for example: Monthly dashboard; 8Ds; Stellantis - QMTS; Paynter Charts; etc.)
- Support the warranty and quality team as needed for warranty reviews, corrective actions, and reporting
- Power User of Customer Portals (for example: Ford GSAR; Stellantis PRAS+; GM Part link; etc.): monitor due dates; input responses; and pull reports.
- Review customer warranty cost recoveries for validity and report results to meet customer deadlines
- Respond to customer emails and assist other Control Devices plants as needed
- Assist with "Work Orders;" Shipping; Test Requests; RMAs as needed
- Collect, analyze, interpret and share warranty information appropriately (FAN charts; MIS; etc.…).
- Monitor customer related warranty data for out-of-control warranty; report and react accordingly.
- Support Warranty Improvement Teams as needed
