We are seeking a full-time highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to support our firm’s staff with all administrative aspects of their client work; this individual will also be processing the final product of prepared tax returns. The right administrative professional will be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, and be able to quickly adapt to the ever-changing tax world. Qualifications

A successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Innovative thinking with a view toward change management

  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe

  • At least three years of administrative experience

  • One year of tax processing experience preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters tax/accounting software preferred

  • Ability to work overtime to meet tax deadlines

(approximately 50 hours/week from March 1 – April 15)

Position Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our team to ensure a quality product is delivered to clients, including effectively processing and assembling 1099 filings, tax returns, and e-filing returns with taxing authorities

  • Mail hard copies of tax returns/financial statements and send electronic deliverables

  • Carry out administrative duties such as scanning, copying, organizing, and properly distributing sensitive documents

  • Reply and correspond with clients in a timely manner

  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems

  • Oversee supply inventories by checking stock and anticipating supply needs

  • Provide support to Business Operations Manager when needed

  • Act as a backup to the receptionist when needed
