Lucy Corr is seeking a caring, dependable, and creative Program Assistant to join our Adult Day Center team. This position supports participants with daily personal care and engaging activities that promote their physical, cognitive, spiritual, and social well-being.

Working under the supervision of the Adult Day Center Director and Supervisor, you will help create a welcoming environment where participants feel supported, respected, and connected.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan, lead, and assist with individual and group activities tailored to participants’ interests and abilities.
  • Help develop and implement the monthly activity calendar.
  • Assist participants with daily living needs, including toileting, eating, and movement to dining areas and activities.
  • Take vital signs and weight measurements and follow participants’ personal care plans.
  • Complete required records, including daily and monthly census information and dietary forms.
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures and promptly report concerns.
  • Protect participants’ rights and build positive relationships with participants, families, caregivers, volunteers, and coworkers.
  • Participate in required training, meetings, and continuing education.
  • Assist with staff orientation and training as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements


What You’ll Bring

  •  Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or activity programming; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required; AED certification preferred.
  • Ability to plan meaningful activities that support participants’ individual needs.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Dependability and regular attendance.
  • Ability to meet applicable health requirements and successfully complete a criminal background investigation and reference checks.

Physical Requirements

The position involves hands-on participant assistance, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand and arm movements. Duties include frequently lifting up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as occasional bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, balancing, and reaching overhead. Essential duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
