Job responsibilities:
- System-level verification and validation (V&V) of AD/ADAS ECUs and features across SIL/HIL and vehicle test phases
- Derive and maintain test specifications and test cases from requirements and ensure traceability and coverage (e.g., DOORS)
- Set up and maintain SIL/HIL test environments (e.g., dSPACE / Vector toolchains), including rest-bus simulation and scenario configuration
- Develop and execute automated regression suites using CAPL/Python and integrate automation into lab workflows and continuous testing where applicable
- Execute bench and vehicle tests; capture and interpret CAN/LIN/Ethernet logs and measurement data; analyze results against acceptance criteria
- Perform diagnostics and flashing activities (UDS/DoIP/OBD, bootloader procedures) and validate communication, DTC behavior, and recovery
- Own defect lifecycle: report issues, support triage with development teams, verify fixes, and drive closure tracking (e.g., Jira)
- Prepare V&V reports, release evidence, and quality metrics aligned with automotive processes (V-model, ASPICE) and safety expectations (ISO 26262)
- Support customer technical discussions and reviews by presenting test status, risks, and evidence, and continuously improve test processes and toolchains
Required skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automotive / Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive ECU/system testing with hands-on SIL/HIL or bench testing exposure
- Hands-on experience with Vector toolchain (CANoe / CANalyzer) and in-vehicle networks and diagnostics (CAN / LIN / Ethernet, UDS / OBD)
- Experience with requirements and defect management, and test reporting in customer-facing programs
- Familiarity with ASPICE and ISO 26262 concepts
Language:
Japanese / English bilingual
(Advanced business level is required)
