We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Active Directory Administrator provides Role Based Access Control (RBAC) services to ensure we manage the assets and operations support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.

Responsibilities:

• You will monitor the customer’s AD domain to provide authentication and authorization services for the organizational units in the NCR and domestic facilities. Support coordinating AD requests and issues between customer organizations.
• You will be responsible for maintaining enterprise account management utilizing RBAC to ensure secure and managed access to all customer systems and equipment.
• You will manage the centralized Access Control List (ACL), group policies, domains, and organizational units (OU), and security groups for domain controllers for over 50K users in both on-premise and cloud systems.
• You will also develop and maintain Active Directory (AD) administration SOPs for the customer IT service delivery processes aligned Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and DoS standards.
• Update SOPs to reflect modernization initiatives and emerging technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

• 6+ years
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Secret Security Clearance 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s) 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
  •  Travel by land or air transportation up to 10%

If hired for this position, the base salary range would be within the range provided. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to work location, skills, experience, gov con contractual requirements, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Empower AI's total compensation package for employees.
