JOB SUMMARY: As an Acquisitions Analyst in our multifamily real estate company, you will play a pivotal role within the real estate investment team, contributing to the identification, analysis, and acquisition of multifamily properties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Market and Investment Strategy/ Financial Modeling

  • Timely upload any potential deals to the acquisition pipeline. 

  • Quickly reply to all incoming email traffic, follow up and follow through on every deal and inquiry received.  

  • Creating detailed financial models to evaluate financial performance and return on investment of potential acquisitions. 

  • Continually modify and make improvements to existing underwriting models with guidance provided from leadership. 

  • Analyzing and recommending appropriate financing options for acquisitions. 

  • Assisting in the development and execution of the company's multifamily investment strategy. 

  • Monitoring industry trends and identifying opportunities for strategic growth. 

  • Assisting in the presentation of new opportunities at weekly Investment Committee meetings. 

  • Work with Capital and Marketing teams to ensure marketing decks are produced accurate, timely and above industry standards. 

  • Conducting thorough market research to identify potential multifamily investment opportunities. 

  • Analyzing market trends, demographics, and economic indicators to assess the feasibility and profitability of potential acquisitions. 

  • Compiling and presenting comprehensive reports on potential acquisitions to senior leadership. 

  • Ensuring accurate and organized documentation of all acquisition-related activities. 

Due Diligence

  • Managing the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, including assisting with coordinating inspections, environmental assessments, and other relevant studies. 

  • Working closely with Legal and Financial teams to ensure all aspects of the due diligence process are completed accurately and efficiently. 

  • Timely reply to lender and equity requests during due diligence. 

  • Complete internal closing costs workbooks timely. 

Deal Structuring and Negotiation

  • Collaborating with the Director of Acquisitions to structure and negotiate acquisition deals 

  • Assists the Director of Acquisitions and Chief Investment Officer in various tasks, projects, or assignments throughout the acquisition process. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field. 

Qualifications

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills including JV partnerships, waterfall modeling & sensitivity analysis.  

  • Proficiency in real estate investment analysis software.  

  • Knowledge of real estate financing and capital markets. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
