We at Angle Health are thrilled about expanding our finance and accounting team and are currently searching for a new team member. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and want to revolutionize the health insurance industry. This role will be responsible for managing the company’s incoming payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining effective communication with customers regarding billing and payment inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in health insurance, a bias toward action, and exceptional organizational and communication abilities. Our team moves quickly to make company-wide decisions, thus it is crucial to strike a balance between getting the details right while still moving fast. Finally, we are looking for someone eager to learn and grow with minimal supervision from senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and post incoming payments accurately and timely in the accounting system.

• Prepare and send customer invoices and statements.

• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate collection activities as necessary.

• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

• Resolve customer billing disputes and discrepancies.

• Prepare accounts receivable reports and summaries for management.

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address billing and payment issues.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

• Comply with company policies and procedures as well as relevant accounting standards

• While this role will be predominantly remote, we may require travel to our NYC office 1-3 times a quarter.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Collections

• Basic knowledge of GAAP

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills

The salary range for this job opportunity is $50,000 to $65,000 per year, which is the amount Angle Health anticipates paying for this position at the time of this job posting. The actual base salary offered may differ and will depend on various factors such as geographic location, skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as internal equity.
