Accounts Receivable Specialist

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Perform routine accounting work in the accounts receivable and credit and collection function. Secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts, resolving discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Manage accounts receivable portfolio of assigned accounts.
2. Process and post cash transactions and receipts.
3. Update daily cash tracking and reporting.
4. Manage course of action to validate, analyze, reconcile and expedite the resolution of customer/sales deductions.
5. Attend meetings with sales to review risk accounts; resolve deductions and charge-backs.
6. Prepare various accounts receivable reports and analyses.
7. Develop and maintain strong customer relations.
8. Experience navigating customer websites and portals needed.
9. Other duties may be assigned, as needed or required

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Two years of college or equivalent
• 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience 
• Proficiency in MS word, excel, and recordkeeping
• Detail oriented, with accurate data entry skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• SAP experience a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls.  The position requires mobility.  Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis.  Manual dexterity and coordinate are required over 50% of the work week while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
