We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our accounting team.
The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management of an organization's financial obligations to vendors and suppliers. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, team leadership, and a focus on process optimization to maintain the company's financial health
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the daily operations of the AP department, ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This individual will lead a team, manage vendor relationships, and drive process improvements through technology and automation.
This position requires someone who is excellent at leading a team, training on AP functions, maintaining deadlines and prioritizing well.
Core Responsibilities
- Department Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of AP associates; manage hiring, training, and performance evaluations.x
- Operations Management: Oversee the full invoice-to-payment cycle, including invoice verification, PO matching, and electronic payment processing (ACH, wire, check).
- Compliance & Controls: Develop and enforce AP policies and controls; ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations (e.g., 1099 reporting, W9 validation).
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and lower the cost per invoice.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze AP aging schedules, cash flow projections, and monthly reconciliations for the general ledger.
- Vendor Relations: High professionalism as the primary escalation point for vendor dispute and collaboration with internal stakeholders over appropriate payment terms..
Basics
- Full-time. The schedule is generally 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Experience & Education:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: 5–8+ years of progressive AP experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role within a large-scale organization.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of enterprise ERP systems (e.g.,Odoo, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and specialized AP automation tools (e.g., Ramp, Coupa, Tipalti).
Analytical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Communication Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in collaborating and presenting to the company executive team.
Pay: Starting range with bonus: $89k - $105k. Plus up to $1k/month wellness stipend and other benefits.
