Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Issue, record, and release check payments.
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Reconcile the accounts payable and expense ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
Understand compliance issues around accounts payable process (Expanded Withholding Tax and VAT)
Review current processes and workflows and make recommendations as needed to ensure more efficient and productive results
Audit transactions recorded on the system.
Provide solutions to any relative problems of vendors
Requirements
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience as an Accounts Payable Associate, Accounting Assistant, AP/AR Staff, or similar accounting role
- Experience with vendor payments and account reconciliation
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and treasury operations
- Familiarity with tax compliance, particularly Withholding Tax and VAT
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
