About The Role 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This junior-level role is ideal for someone currently studying towards AAT or looking to begin their accounting qualification.

You will gain broad exposure to core financial processes and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial records. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations 
  • Administer company credit cards: collect receipts, reconcile statements, and post transactions to the ledger 
  • Prepare and post accruals and prepayments 
  • Maintain the fixed assets register and assist with leasehold amortisation 
  • Post daily Visa settlements journals 
  • Maintain interest certificates log 
  • Support payroll finance processes: review monthly payroll variances and post related journals in SAP 
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns 
  • Assist with other ad-hoc finance and reporting tasks as required 

 

 

Ideal Candidate 

  • Actively studying or planning to study AAT 
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles 
  • Experience in book-keeping 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a finance team
