Accounts Assistant- Accounts Payable – Luxury 5* Boutique Hotel

The LaLit Suri Hospitality Group, headquartered in New Delhi, is India's largest and the fastest growing privately owned Hotel Company. The company offers a portfolio of 13 Luxury hotels, palaces and resorts spread across Indian sub-continent.

The 180-year-old neo baroque edifice, which once housed the erstwhile St. Olave’s Grammar School, is now unveiled as The LaLiT London. The luxury boutique hotel features 70 beautifully designed rooms, each ornamented with custom-made art- combining Indian culture with a quintessential British charm.

We are currently seeking a Accounts Assistant- Accounts Payable to join our dedicated Finance department.

Your New Role

The Accounts Assistant- Accounts Payable is an integral part of the team responsible for delivering an efficient and accurate finance function within the company. Your main duties are:

Main Duties:

  • Preparation of weekly sales and banking report and submission to head office
  • Reviews purchase requisitions to ensure that budget codes are appropriate for the item(s) being purchased, and follow financial accounting guides and policies
  • Verification/Posting of vendor bills of inventory in the system.
  • Processes disbursements to vendors based on reconciliation of invoices, purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Prepares all remittance information to be mailed with the checks/ Vendor payments
  • Maintains vendor files in alphabetical order with all unpaid purchase orders being current.
  • Communicates with vendors in reference to purchase orders and invoices to ensure accurate payment to all vendors.
  • Communicates with the bank for stop payments and check status periodically.
  • Processes requisitions and purchase orders for manual checks and posts all manual checks.
  • Assigns vendor numbers to requisitions and verifies accuracy of requisitions.
  • Adds, updates and obtains vendor payment information to enter in the financial accounting system when necessary.
  • Assists in the posting deposits, cash receipts, journal entries and budget transfers.
  • Tax reconciliation and their rectification.
  • Responsible for Bank reconciliation,
  • Assisting with all monthly reports and also Reconciling the all Creditors Statement monthly.
  • If necessary taxes Reconciliation, their payments and Returns.
