Accounting Supervisor

Azuria Water Solutions is looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor.

Azuria Water Solutions is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Azuria’s businesses consist of sewer, drinking water, and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Azuria's technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional "dig and replace" methods.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Staff development, assure that staff are properly trained and supported in the execution of their duties.  Identify opportunities for improvement and arrange for needed training or peer cross-training.  Prepare annual staff reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Continuously work with Accounting Manager and Director of Corporate Accounting to improve and accelerate the monthly close process.
• Oversee the posting of recurring and non-recurring journal entries
• Assist identification of non-recurring entries and supporting data collection at the end of each month
• Maintain company fixed asset database and reporting.
• Assist with preparation of annual personal property tax filings.
• Maintain lease accounting database and post monthly and non-recurring entries.
• Serve as liaison and develop team member for new accounting and reporting systems, as well as ongoing process assessments and improvement projects
• Support area accounting personnel (answer questions, solve problems, create special query reports, etc.) and other departments (shared services, tax and finance managers)
• Develop reports as needed and support special projects, as assigned

Qualifications:

The selected candidate must have the following:

• Must have an Accounting or Finance degree or have completed significant coursework and are actively working toward an Accounting or Finance degree. 
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint is necessary. 
• Experience with JD Edward, Oracle EPM or Data Access Studio, a plus. 
• The successful candidate must be organized and able to work well in a support role within our Accounting & Finance Department.
