What You'll Be Doing:
- Leverage AI tools to automate and enhance accounting processes
- Collaborate with tech teams to identify opportunities for AI implementation in financial reporting and analysis
- Directly contribute to the company's financial stability and growth by working on high-impact financial close processes including month-end, quarter-end, and annual close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tight deadlines
- Prepare accurate journal entries, analyze results and fluctuations, and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with Bacen GAAP and IFRS
- Work closely with our third-party accounting & tax support staff in the US & Brazil
- Serve as the primary point of contact for semi-annual audits and all compliance matters, incl. audit, tax and regulatory filings
- Support the consolidation process for multiple entities
- Be a key user of SAP S4/Hana
- Research and interpret accounting treatment and apply guidance to corporate accounting matters, vendor contracts, new transactions, and other related areas
- Drive automation and process improvements to streamline workflows across the accounting function
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business decision-making through insightful analysis
What You Need To Succeed:
- Keen interest in learning and applying the latest technology to daily work; knowledge and experience with GenAI (e.g., ChatGPT) a must
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
- CRC certification or on track to obtain it
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in high-growth tech companies, preferably Banking or FinTech startups; financeira a plus
- Solid understanding of accounting procedures and principles (Brazilian GAAP / IFRS a must, BACEN GAAP / COSIF a plus)
- Experience working with SQL and MS Office/ GSuite packages
- Strong Portuguese and English communication skills, both oral and written
- Team player with outstanding communication skills in a remote work environment
- High level of organizational skills to prioritize & handle multiple tasks on short notice in a face-paced environment
