Accounting Specialist

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current capabilities & need to identify areas of opportunity, proposing analytics & automation solutions that align with core strategy & operation.
• Digital enablement of controllership Operations & Enable synergies with revamped digital transformation strategies. 
• Own/drive business/operational projects leading to enhanced efficiency & effectiveness.
• Drive analytics projects, Improve controls & Business value.
• Transform Controllership process across regions & Centers; Improve Controls framework, Lead projects with speed & accuracy including RPA BOT ownership/Monitor & Enhancements
• Utilize analytical & technical skills to translate & analyze business needs into requirements, leading the design & implementation of complex analytics & governance solutions.
• Perform data analysis by querying various data sets in EDW and designing information products for user-friendly data accessibility.
• Design, develop, and deploy information products, supporting visualization & data accessibility in a user-friendly, customer centric manner. 
• Design & support data models optimized to support analytical tools such as Power BI and create BI reports.
• Good conceptual skills and process excellence on Controllership functions
• Ensure relevant GAAP, HON accounting policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Reduce exceptions through root cause analysis and implementation of solutions.
• Enable visibility of non-compliances to drive compliance and aid in decision making.
• Review & refine key performance indicators. 
• Measure performance using reports against defined metrics and drive decision and results.
• Work closely with key stakeholders like Controllership, Ops team and business counterparts.

• Bachelors in finance/accounting

• Hands-on experience in a variety of Controllership finance functions
• Good knowledge of General Accounting concepts, processes & best practice.
• Five or more years of relevant experience in Automation, Data Visualization (Power BI), Data analysis or related technical activities
• User experience mindset, driving the design of visualizations and infographics to distill complex information.
• Project Management & Co-ordination of  projects
• Co-ordinate with technical and business stakeholders

Critical 

• Expert in scripting and querying languages such as SQL and others 

• Experience in data warehouse tools such as Snowflake.

  Knowledge of Agile development methodology 

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Passion for data and its potential to drive business impact.
• Work independently and free from direct oversight.

Preferable

• Highly proficient in Microsoft office; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong business acumen with a data-mining mindset
• Ability to collaborate and influence across different levels.
• Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization.
• Critical thinking and understanding of business processes, technology, systems, and tools.
• Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness; a self-starter able to work independently.
