Job Overview:
We’re seeking a hands-on Site Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations at our Lexington manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing financial close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements. The position also manages Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Cost Accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and allocations
- Perform and oversee balance sheet reconciliations
- Supervise AP, Payroll, and Cost Accounting teams
- Ensure accurate vendor payments and payroll processing
- Support cost accounting activities including standard cost development and variance analysis
- Maintain and monitor internal controls and ensure SOX compliance
- Serve as the point of contact for external audits
- Support financial reporting and analysis
- Drive continuous process improvements within the accounting function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, OneStream, Hyperion)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
